Do you want to become successful? Study successful people.
Let’s say for example you want to lose weight? You have probably asked someone who lost weight, “what is your secret”? Right?
Well, study successful people and you will find they all practice a secret called the act of visualization.
Visualization is the practice of seeing yourself having or doing something before you have it.
The person who lost the weight may have put an image of what they wanted to look like on the refrigerator. Every time they went to it they saw who they wanted to be and overcame the desire to overeat. Their desire to be thinner became greater than their desire to overeat.
We, of course, remember they then have a plan to follow, and then they DO it! We have heard it said, “What you look at is what you become.”
Someone once told me “If you can’t see yourself doing something, you will NEVER do it.”
Have you ever said to someone “I just can’t see myself doing that! If so, then you will NEVER do it.
Naturally then it follows you MUST see yourself doing what it is you desire.
Visualization is one key to success.
Be clear on what you want. Write it down.
Remember Habakkuk 2:2 which states “write the vision and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.”
You will become the way you see yourself.
The famous golfer Jack Nicolson practiced visualizing his golf game before he played it. He was very successful.
Your imagination is a preview of your life’s coming attractions. Visualization is using your imagination.
What do you want to see in the future? Perhaps losing weight is not what you desire, but what do you want to be a success?
Keep those images in front of you. Thank God for his help while you give yourself permission to dream.
Lots of love,
Shirley
